The novel “Under the Bed: Two Lawyers and The Deadliest Case Ever” by James Jenkins is the story of the tumultuous life of a high-profile criminal-defense lawyer who is working in Manhattan; the name of this lawyer is Lily Harrison. When his lawyer, Carlos Rodriguez, is accused of various murder cases, Lily gets caught in the psychological trap of obsession and fear. Since the trial progresses, her work life becomes intertwined with her personal sufferings, leading to torturous nightmares and unexplained happenings. Jenkins takes time to explore the theme of obsession, identity, and seeking the truth, and thus he creates an interesting story that makes the reader confront the darker aspects of human nature.
